Latitude D820 - Wave EMBASSY Trust Suite for Vista

According to Dell's Support Site, the Vista version of EMBASSY Trust Suite was released on 22nd March 2007. Not sure why I never got an email about this considering that I had subscribed to Dell's Email Notification service.

Anyway, I downloaded the update and installed it but have not been able to get it to recognise my TPM chip. I can get finger recognition working at pre-boot and logon, but that's it. Looks like I may need to clear all my TPM settings in the BIOS and re-install the software.

One thing I have noticed is that the software runs heaps slower under Vista than it does on Windows XP. Will be interesting to see whether the PIM will slow down IE when it tries to invoke fingerprint logon for secure sites.

EDIT: Got everything working now but it was a real pain in the backside. Had to uninstall EMBASSY Suite, reboot and clear TPM settings, disable TPM and then blank out System and Admin passwords (all in BIOS). Once this was done let machine boot into Vista and then restart and turn TPM back on and enable. I was then able to install and get everything working.

Software runs a bit faster now so slowness was probably due to TPM chip detection problems.
